Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is one of the more common solid tumors in children, with approximately 250 new cases diagnosed each year.1 The roles of pediatric surgeons in the treatment of RMS have changed signi cantly through the years, as other adjuvant therapies have become more ef cacious. The purpose of this manuscript is to describe the current surgical therapy recommendations of the Soft Tissue Sarcoma Committee of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), formerly known as the Intergroup Rhabdomyosarcoma Group (IRSG).
